How to turn off flash in manual mode nikon d90






















 · fucq Recently purchased a D90 and do not like using flash for my photos, If I turn the flash off, it will stay off unitl I turn the camera off and back on, then it comes on again, I am shooting in auto for now, is there a way I can turn it off and keep it off? When I am on a long shoot, I turn the camera off and on a lot while walking and it's getting really annoying!  · You can TURN OFF flash in 'S' mode by pressing the flash button on the left side above the BKT button and rotating the rear Command Dial until you see no SLOW/REAR/RED EYE symbols. Taping down the flash is bad because it means it probably is still firing and heating up in that confined space. Built in flash on the D90, turning off For the life of me and I'm not seeing exactly a reference to it in the manual and perhaps I'm just over looking it but I'm sure there is a way to physically turn off the built in flash and I've even rooted around in the menus themselves.
